Statistics

Statistics play an important role in understanding the need for assistive technology in New Jersey and elsewhere. This page contains statistical data on the number of people with disabilities in New Jersey on a statewide and a countywide level from the U.S. Census Bureau’s 2006 American Community Survey, which contains much more information about specific disability types, employment rates, and educational status. Additionally, the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development has prepared statistical fact sheets about each county, available at their website. If you need help obtaining more specific information, please feel free to contact ATAC.
