Rights of Persons with Disabilities

Disability Rights New Jersey is the designated protection and advocacy program for people with disabilities in New Jersey. The agency provides advocacy and legal representation for persons with disabilities to protect their legal, civil, and human rights. The agency’s priorities are established by a consumer-directed Board of Directors following extensive input from persons with disabilities, their families, and other interested individuals and agencies.

A candidate must have a law degree and be licensed to practice in the State of New Jersey. A minimum of five years experience in public interest/civil rights practice, including two years of complex litigation, is required for senior staff position. The candidate should possess effective written and oral communication skills, legal skills, the willingness to work as part of a team, and a commitment to the civil rights of persons with disabilities.

Minimum salary $42,000. Excellent benefits.
